Leading commercial equipment supplier launches Heating division

As the UK’s market leader for commercial laundry and catering equipment supply and maintenance, JLA plans to double the size of its business in the next five years with the launch of a new heating division.

Designed to provide high-quality boilers and hot-water cylinders to a variety of markets, including care homes, hotels and schools, the new division is the company’s latest major expansion. Established over 40 years ago, initially as a commercial laundry business, JLA evolved in 2013 to offer commercial catering solutions - driving incremental success and contributing to the significant growth the business has enjoyed in recent years.

As a business that is focused on continually innovating and improving its product offerings to meet its customers’ needs, it was a natural step in the company’s progression to add the boiler room to its portfolio of services, alongside the kitchen and laundry room.

The company’s success is built on its unique Total Care package, which allows businesses to acquire critical commercial assets with no requirement for large sums of upfront capital investment and instead, simple monthly payments. Total Care also completely eliminates any risk to the customer of expensive breakdowns or repairs which is all taken care of as part of the all-inclusive breakdown and maintenance package that promises an engineer response within 4 hours, day or night. JLA is already gaining traction with customers who recognise the benefits this has for their business, particularly when their current heating system lets them down unexpectedly and replacements are cost-prohibitive.

JLA has ambitious plans for growth based on its tried and tested formula of delivering best in class service to keep critical areas of a business operational. This includes driving organic growth through offering Boiler Total Care to its existing 20,000 Total Care customers but also through adding strategic acquisitions that can complement and accelerate this growth. The company expects to add an additional 100 commercial heating engineers as the division grows, taking JLA’s total number of field engineers to around 400. This nationwide density of engineers is a key component in being able to offer industry beating response times around the clock.
